“Triumph & Tragedy” is a tabletop adventure wargame designed for use with 25 to 50 28mm miniatures. Games with fewer or more miniatures are also possible.

The focus of the current “Triumph & Tragedy” rules is on the Great War and the “Interwar years”, ca. 1900-1939, allowing players to re-enact adventures in such diverse settings as Russia, China and India, as well as South America. Forthcoming supplements will focus on the Spanish and Russian Civil Wars, which, due to their confusing, exotic and fascinating nature, lend themselves well as settings for adventure gaming.

Rather than having a regular and rather static game turn made up of subsequent „phases“ conducted in a rigid order, „Triumph & Tragedy“ combines simultaneous and subsequent activations to quicken the pace of the game. This provides for an element of uncertainty while still retaining the need to plan your actions.
